Summary
This position is located at MWR Fund Arts & Crafts Schofield Arts & Crafts Center, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii on the Island of Oahu..
This is a Standing Register announcement. Applicants will be referred to selecting officials on various cut-off periods until filled. First cut-off date is 10/20/2025.

Duties
Provide exceptional customer service in a retail environment.
Demonstrate and sell specialized merchandise to customers.
Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle cash and card payments. Manage charge and layaway transactions efficiently.
Maintain merchandise by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales area remains clean and orderly.
Keep accurate sales records and documentation as required.
Handle other assigned task as needed.
Requirements
Conditions of employment
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Scheduled hours will vary. Incumbent must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Proficiency in basic mathematics.

Area of Consideration
This job is open to candidates who are LOCAL (Island of Oahu). (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
