Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence - G8 at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Duties Advises command group on resource planning and programming policies and procedures to optimize the use of resources in accomplishing the Command’s mission. Approves multi-year and long-term work plans developed by subordinates. Providing cost and economic analysis support to CCOE principal staff. Advises the Director G-8, principal staff, and the command group on resource planning and programming policies and procedures to optimize the use of resources in accomplishing the Command’s mission. Prepares final study reports and results of program analyses involving cross-functional considerations and Interservice Training Office (ITRO) programs. Administratively and technically supervises a staff of civilian personnel. Evaluates programs by analyzing data, studies, reports, and briefings. Prepares reports and briefings on study results, and makes recommendations to CCOE schools, principal staff, the CCOE Commander, and TRADOC functional staff members. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Three year trial/probationary period may be required. This position is designated Tier 5, Special Sensitive, High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment. Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 20 percent of the time. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all DoD requirements. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action. This position is in the Supervision/Management work category as defined by Cyber Excepted Service, DoDI 1400.25-V3007. A one-year supervisory probation is required to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by (1) Assisting in the annual Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development or budget formulation for an organization; (2) Performing a variety of analytical studies and/or projects related to: Resource planning, long-range planning, and management improvement; (3) Providing guidance on resource planning policies and requirements.
