Summary This position is located at American Lake Conference Center. Regular Part-Time positions are guaranteed 20 hours per work week and are eligible for all Army NAF benefits. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Cleans up rooms, halls, flights of stairs, and different territories. Along with mopping and vacuuming. Uses and maintains mechanical equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. Cleans disinfects and deodorizes toilet facilities, dusts assigned areas and empties trash. Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt. Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Appointment subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2. Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position. Physical Effort: Required standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of items or carts weighing up to 20 to 40 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Exposure to dirt and disagreeable odors, vibration from use of heavy equipment, and to skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions. Must be able to work a schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and possible holidays. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Must have knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties listed above to include the ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade and to keep the assigned work area neat and clean. 2. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
