Summary NIST's CTL is seeking an employee who will provide clerical and administrative support by managing travel, onboarding, purchasing, scheduling, and recordkeeping tasks, while serving as the primary office contact and ensuring efficient office operations. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in utilizing administrative/clerical skill and automated systems to process time and attendance; make travel and conference arrangements, manage multiple calendars, review correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy, respond to non-technical correspondence, maintain an office filing system, compile and enter information into, and retrieve information from various automated programs. OR 4 years of education above high school OR A combination of education and experience AND In addition, applicants must be able to type 40 words per minute. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
