Custodial Worker (Housekeeping)

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Pikes Peak Lodge on Peterson Space Force Base. The work involves light physical effort; running lightweight powered scrubbers and buffers; continually standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; frequently lifting; frequently pushing carts that may weigh up to 100 pounds, loaded with dirty laundry or wastepaper. Position requires working irregular schedules, to include weekends, holidays, and all shifts. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Qualifying Experience: This is an entry level position and therefore, there are no minimum qualifications required. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
