Supervisory Executive Producer (Persian)

Summary This position is located in he Persian News Network, responsible for the overall production, program development, talent and day-to-day operations of Persian Television. The incumbent serves as the Supervisory Executive Producer (TV), this includes responsibility of personnel management and production program budgets. If selected, this position requires the completion of the SF-86. Suitability Determination: If selected, you will be subject to a background investigation to establish your suitability for federal employment. This position has been designated supervisory requiring that the selectee serves on an initial appointment as a supervisor or manager serve a one-year probationary period. If selected for this vacancy, you will be required to file the OGE Form 450 (Confidential Financial Disclosure Report). The full performance grade level for this position is GS-14. Qualifications Screen out factor: Applicant must have native fluency in the Perian language; and fluency in the English language that enables you to speak, read, write, report, and translate in both languages. This language screen out factor MUST be listed in your resume to receive consideration. Qualifications: Applicants must have one (1) year ofspecialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level that is in or directly related to this line of work which includes production, program development, operations, personnel management and production program budgets. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, the following specialized experience is required: Experience with management principles and practices. Experience with commercial television broadcasting techniques, including the ability to produce programming for tailored audiences. Experience developing, motivating and leading a staff of subordinate supervisors in a cross-cultural environment. Experience applying EEO principles and the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with other managers. Experience covering a variety of topics concerning Persia, their lifestyles, culture, national history, customs, government institutions and policies; an awareness of political, economic, and social developments in the region including current U.S. and foreign policies including U.S. relations with and foreign policy toward Iran. Education Education is not required for this grade level. It cannot be used for qualification purposes.
