Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Child Development Center RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. The purpose of his position is to perform routine manual duties in food preparation or food Service areas. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Continuous standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing and bending. STANDING REGISTER ANNOUNCEMENT: Applications will be reviewed, and referrals made every 7 days. Duties Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments and cold menu items (e.g., salad, dessert, bread and cold beverages) on a serving line. Removes dishes and trays from tables. Operates, breaks down and cleans all electrical equipment for food preparation. Cleans kitchen equipment (e.g., worktables, sinks and refrigerators). Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses and silverware in dishwashing area. Loads and operates dishwashers, stores clean dishes, glasses and silverware. Washes tables and counters, vacuums and shampoos carpets. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, cleans windows, washes walls and cleans and sanitizes trashcans. Sorts, washes, peels and cuts fresh fruits and vegetables. Performs other related duties as assigned. This position may be subject to shift work: evenings, nights, weekends and Holidays. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations this includes annual influenza vaccinations and be free of all communicable diseases. This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation. Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines. Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds, and occasionally over 20 pounds with assistance. Ability to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push and bend for long periods of time. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of suitability and fitness for the position. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
