Summary This position is located at USAG Bavaria- FMWR, Library, Grafenwoehr, Germany Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Incumbent is responsible for or performs a wide variety of public service duties: circulation, reference/reader's advisory, database searching, collection maintenance, programming, marketing, displays/publicity, inter-library loans, reserves; and/or a wide variety of technical service duties: cataloging/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing/accounting for and de-acquisitioning of library materials, shelf inventories; Performs selected administrative management duties to include ensuring internal controls are in place in public services and/or technical services. May manage a branch library or serve as a lead departmental library technician. Trains others in the performance of library technician duties. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Incumbent may perform physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such as boxes of books or journals. Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends and MWR Special Events. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. One year of work experience that equipped the applicant with practical knowledge of library or related information services, tools, and methods and procedures. Experience must have been gained at the next lower level. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), incentives and differentials will not be paid, with the exception of post allowance, contingent upon eligibility.
