3D Art Intern

As a 3D Art Intern at Meta, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of product designers, software engineers, and research scientists to create engaging and immersive art experiences for AR/VR applications. Your work will contribute to the development of innovative products and features, enhancing user interaction and enjoyment.

3D Art Intern Responsibilities:

• Design and develop 3D art assets, focusing on props, environments, and other visual elements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and prototype innovative art concepts that align with project goals.
• Contribute to the ideation and development of game experiences, ensuring a balance between quality visuals and efficient production.
• Participate in user research studies and technology demos to refine art assets based on feedback and emerging trends.
• Communicate design decisions and project progress to stakeholders, advocating for high standards in art quality and creativity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Game Art Design, Digital Art, Animation, or a related creative field.
• Portfolio showcasing refined 3D art and modeling work, with a focus on props, environments, and other visual elements.
• Experience with 3D modeling software such as Blender, Maya, or similar tools.
• A strong aesthetic sense for producing high quality & well-designed art.
• Must have work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in creating art for AR/VR experiences or interactive games.
• Strong understanding of concept workflows, look development, texture creation, and traditional art & design skills.
• Ability to produce high-fidelity art assets in a production environment, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Familiarity with Unity or Unreal Engine for game development.
