3D Fantasy Character Artist

As a 3D Fantasy Character Artist, you will:

• Develop and deliver in-game characters within technical requirements following concept art and art direction.
• Participate actively in establishing benchmarks in technical and visual quality and optimal cost of effort.
• Collaborate with team members in a constant effort to improve overall quality.
• Set ambitious personal goals to enhance efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Work closely with the Art Director and lead in establishing regulations and standards with the benchmarks.
• Adapt art direction requirements to styles and pipelines required for the mandate.
• Act as an example and be a role model for your peers.
• Create and not be limited to character, garments, grooming, gears, and skins following art direction references concerning technical requirements, animation constraints, and specifications.
• Participate actively in establishing benchmarks in technical and visual quality and optimal cost of effort.
• Collaborate with team members in a constant effort to improve overall quality.
• Set ambitious personal goals to improve efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Create in various styles, from realistic to stylized.
• Work closely with the Art Director and lead in establishing regulations and standards with the benchmarks.
• Adapt art direction requirements to styles and pipelines required for the mandate.
• Act as an example and be a role model for your peers.

Requirements

• Experience with fantasy-style
• Experience with game asset creation constraints.
• Experience in texture creation.
• Understanding of requirements related to creating realistic in-game characters;
• Confident SubD modeling in Max / Maya;
• Experience sculpting in Zbrush;
• Solid skill in creating low-poly models and retopology, understanding of the principles of modular systems, and the ability to optimally distribute polygons on the asset;
• An ability to develop optimal UV mapping respecting technical restriction
• Experience in texturing in Substance Painter;
• Have skills in importing and setting 3D models and materials in-game engines.
• An ability to follow and correctly interpret/improve the concept idea;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactiveness, and desire to learn and share.
• Intermediate level of English, in reading and speaking.
