Qualifications You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12. Specialized experience for this GS-13 position includes: 1. Experience in configuring, deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting cloud-based solutions, such as Microsoft Azure, for Desktop as a Service (DaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). 2. Experience ensuring solutions adhere to security best practices with cloud technologies, utilizing products such as, but not limited to Microsoft Intune Suite, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, Azure Managed Applications, and Automation. 3. Experience working with stakeholders and consultants for installations, deployments, and troubleshooting of releases, evaluating new operating system releases, assessing capabilities and providing recommendations on optimization and usage. 4. Experience providing authoritative technical resolution for problems with existing VDI environment and related systems, and performs research to correct problems and inefficiencies or to enhance services. The incumbent must possess the following Information Technology related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education At the GS-13 grade level, no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
