General information Job Title 4124 ORD -Journeyman Electrician - FT Date Wednesday, September 3, 2025 City Chicago State Illinois Full/Part Time Full Time Exempt or Non-Exempt Position Non-Exempt Shift A.M. shift, P.M. shift Requirements and Description ERMC has stations in more than 200 airports. We provide a comprehensive range of ground aviation services, encompassing ticketing, ground handling, cabin cleaning, and cargo handling. ERMC also provides operations and maintenance for terminals and support facilities in some of the world's busiest airport locations. ERMC Aviation is seeking a Lead Journeyman Electrician. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: β€’ Maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and control devices, equipment, and components associated with the airport conveyor system. In addition, β€’ Operation and maintenance of all equipment and systems specified in this scope of work and/or services. β€’ Maintenance services of all equipment and services specified here from the main equipment disconnect to the end device. Qualifications: β€’ Certified electrician with a minimum β€œJourneyman” status: industrial electrical motor control experience and electrical automation experience. β€’ Proven experience performing electrical installations, maintenance, or repairs in industrial settings. β€’ Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations. β€’ The ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Standard qualifications: β€’ Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Completing β€’ Must possess a Government ID and social security card. β€’ Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge. β€’ Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation. β€’ Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces β€’ Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check. β€’ Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. β€’ Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs. β€’ Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
