Summary
This Title 5 National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT), Position Description Number T5906000and is part of the NJ 177th CMN FT, National Guard.
Duties
As a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT), GS-2210-11, you will:
Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures to isolate source of problems
Assist in solving problems associated with delivery of hardware and software orders
Provide customer technical assistance and support for all users
Identify and document system requirements for specific needs of customers
Manage system user accounts, reset system passwords, and resolve firewall issues
Work with technical support personnel in resolving problems

FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Selectee has one (1) year of employment to obtain an Active Secret Security Clearance.
NOTE: Selectee must obtain the CompTia Security+ Certification within one (1) year of employment in accordance with DOD INSTRUCTION 8570.01-M.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Must have the following experiences:
Data processing functions
Applying general management principles
Automating work processes
Using computers
Operating computer programs and systems
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have 36 months of the following experiences:
Applying computer application techniques
Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish an assignment
Coordinating with others outside the organizational unit
Developing project controls
Adapting guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment
Preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies
Summarizing and organizing material and organizing
