The Regional Radiology Chair, in collaboration with nursing and administrative partners, will provide strategic direction and oversee the ongoing performance of the regional department, be responsible for recruitment and retention of outstanding staff, and ensure the alignment and development of critical resources to achieve the goal of being a community Radiology practice that also honors the tradition of clinical practice, research, and education. - Exemplify group's principles and values. - Guide and set direction for the regional department within the framework of institutional and MCHS/Enterprise Radiology policy and direction, in collaboration with other department and institutional leaders, and in partnership with the regional Imaging Director and Radiology teams outside of the region. - Oversee the day-to-day performance of the regional department as set forth by annual plans and priorities. - Collaborate with radiologists on site-level, Midwest, and Enterprise Radiology related initiatives and activities. - Provide stewardship of regional departmental resources to serve the institutional good while promoting the long-term growth and development of the practice. - Ensure that patients receive the highest quality care (outcomes, safety, and service). - Nurture the development and diversity of staff, and mentor the current and next generation of leaders. - Promote the discovery and effective delivery of leading-edge medical science and treatment. - Advance the Departments research and academic mission.
