Summary This National Guard position is for a HOUSING OFFICER (TEMP) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0605000and is part of the Utah Training Center located in Camp Williams, UT, with the Utah Army National Guard. This vacancy priority is those who are current military members of the Utah National Guard. The selecting supervisor for this vacancy is CPT Richard Kunsman. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Rank: Enlisted, Warrant Officer, Officer Max Grade: O3 For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license. Must complete State Vehicle Training. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Medical screening will be completed upon selection for hire. Soldiers who accept a technician position may be terminated from the Bonus and Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). National Guard Membership is required. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. Potential for Incentive Pay. Qualifications *Your resume must reflect in detail how the duties and responsibilities under each position you have held with each employer meets the below listed general and specialized experience required for the position. **Must include beginning and ending dates of employment stated as MM/YYYY; and total hours worked per week in order to determine part time vs. full time credit. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience which provided a general knowledge of housing management methods, practices, and operating techniques. Experience communicating information both verbally and in writing, and the ability to meet and deal with individuals and groups. Specialized Experience GS-09: Have 1 year equivalent to at least GS-1173-7? (Must submit SF 50 to validate claim) OR Experience, education or training coordinating movement and accountability of equipment. Experience conducting audits and preparing reports. Experience which demonstrated the knowledge of basic principles, techniques, and methodology pertaining to the management planning, scheduling, coordinating and efficient use of Government-owned housing facilities. Experience developing and implementing a variety of directives and instructions concerning the full range of billeting activities for application by residents and lower-level housing personnel. Education Substitute Education for Specialized Experience: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related *You must provide transcripts to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the education requirements for this position. * All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
