Duties The United States Space Force (USSF) in Huntsville Alabama is searching for a Program Security Lead, SYD 89 (NH-0080-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent). Description: The primary purpose of this position is: To provide integrated acquisition/security oversight to DoD government and defense contractor personnel working in a highly classified environment. Provides acquisition program security support to the organization and its contractors. Duties include coordinating security requirements with appropriate authorities, overseeing the implementation of security equipment and procedures within government and contractor agencies. Additionally, incumbents are responsible for overseeing Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) and Special Access Required (SAR) access management and the use of classified automated information systems (AIS) that support SAR and SCI personnel security programs. Provide security advice and support to the engineering and integration team working on the next wave of Space Domain Awareness, Combat Power, and Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communications efforts. . Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with SAFI AAZ, Air Staff, Program Element Monitors, USSF, SpOC, HQ AFMC, Joint Staff, COCOM, OSD, AFOSI/PJ, Industry partners, and other Services as necessary to meet the requirements of assigned functional security areas and PEO needs. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves significant problems that arise. Ensures unit provide customer guidance and training. Ideal Candidate: Top Secret Clearance; Intimately familiar with Special Access Program Security processes; Knowledge of JADE system of record; Bachelor's degree preferred, Leadership experience; Security Professional Education Development (SPēD) Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC); 5 or more years supporting SAP programs. In-depth knowledge of Space Force acquisitions programs and security processes. Understanding of program planning, budget and financial management cycles and policies. Ability to gather, analyze, and present complex facts and develop programming and budgetary strategies. Ability to identify problems, develop and implement innovative detailed strategies to resolve a wide range of programming, budgetary, financial and management issues. Ability to negotiate resolution of complex budget and financial execution issues. Ability to interpret and apply fiscal policy and financial rules, regulations, and procedures. Ability to execute complex projects and/or studies within established time constraints. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of processes and procedures related to program management and strategic planning activities needed to execute projects and/or studies within established financial and time constraints. 2. Ability to encourage new ideas and innovations; manage human, financial and information resources strategically and build coalitions to achieve common goals. 3. Skill in working with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations 4. Ability to persuade others to accept recommendations, work toward an agreement, and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions. 5. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 6. Ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes. 7. Ability to identify problems and use sound judgment and decisions to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a U.S. Citizen. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours. PCS/ relocation is authorized. Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD Position will close in 5 business days or 75 applications (whichever comes first). Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year This position has been designated for drug testing. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment. This position is designated a NON-CRITICAL APDP position.
