Summary This position serves as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/CUSTSPT), located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Service Delivery Staff (SDS), End-User Support Services Section (ESS) in Washington, DC. This position requires the candidate to be able to hold a security clearance at the Top Secret security level. Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met. This position requires the candidate to obtain a Federal Acquisition Certificate for Contracting Officers Representative (FAC-COR) and/or Federal Acquisition Certificate for Program Manager (FAC-PM) within 12 months of appointment. You must meet all eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement and continue to meet these requirements throughout the hiring process. Qualifications To qualify for the position of IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/CUSTSPT) at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Providing Information Technology (IT) service including service delivery, strategic planning, and financial/budget management to high level executives. Providing technical IT guidance, interpretation, and implementation oversight of applicable information security policies, processes, and practices.
