Conditions of Employment

Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to US citizens interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements as a Financial Services Technician.
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
FLARNG BUS Code NG5022: This position is "included" in the bargaining unit and eligible for labor organization representation. The current exclusive representative is The Association of Civilian Technicians, Chapter 87 and the President is Mr. Michael Ortmayer at [email protected] or (904) 573-2300 ext 1023.
NOTE #1:Must be Financial Manager Level 2 qualified within 2 years of employment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-08 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and federal civilian or military personnel programs. Experience in the private or public sector involving the analysis, validation, processing and correction of military and civilian financial and travel pay transactions. Experience independently utilizing regulatory guidance and a complete understanding of fiscal related automated systems and processes to ensure the accuracy and validity of disbursements, collections and adjustments related to financial records.
