Summary
The Auto Hobby shop provides the bays and equipment you need to get your vehicle back on track. ing our dedicated military members and their families by providing guidance and assistance to fixing their automotive needs.
Work schedule, subject but not limited to:
Tuesday - Thursday: 4pm- 8pm
Friday: 12pm - 8:30pm
Saturday: 9am - 5:30pm
Holidays and PACAF Family Days as needed.
APPILCATIONS WILL BE PULLED THURSDAYS AT 8:00AM UNTIL THE POSITIONS ARE FILLED.

Conditions of Employment
Must possess a valid state motor vehicle's license.
This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge in the maintenance and repair of diesel and gasoline powered engines which included the full range of repairing, disassembling, troubleshooting and overhauling of these engines, and provided all of the following:
Knowledge of the makeup, operation, and installation of complex major systems and assemblies to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems or to rebuild one or more systems;
Knowledge to test and troubleshoot components and systems to locate equipment defect;
Ability to interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics and engineering drawings, diagnostic codes, computer printouts, and safety manuals;
And the ability to operate electronic test equipment.
Ability to frequently lift, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally, objects weighing over 50 pounds.
Frequently stands, bends, stoops, crawls, and works in tight spaces.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
