GENERAL FUNCTION:

Reports to the director of alternative and equity research and is responsible for assisting director with WAM product set integration with regard to all alternative strategies including but not limited to: hedging & monetization, structured products, hedge funds, commodity investments, inflation protected investments, and other private partnerships including private equity, debt and real assets. The strategist is responsible for education, investment commentary, product development, marketing and execution within these highly specialized areas. The strategist will act as the administrator to the alternative investment platform outlining investment strategies for portfolio managers and providing access to the appropriate vehicles. The strategist will also act as a Bancorp resource to assist relationship managers in meeting with clients and prospective clients to explain the investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific alternative investment products.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank' s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with Bancorp portfolio managers and advisors to integrate alternative investments within client managed portfolios.
• Expands external sources of referrals by organizing and participating in meetings and briefings to promote the Alternative Strategies product set.
• Creates the content for market commentary, investment vehicle review s, sales materials, brochures, charts, and presentations.
• Maintains a high level of know ledge and awareness about alternative investment products/vehicles.
• Evaluates the success of new strategies and alternative investment vehicles while recommending changes in the product, strategy, and allocation.
• Ensures that regulatory compliance is maintained on all existing products.
• Facilitates new product training via written training materials, marketing materials and/or oral presentation.
• Regularly travels to each of the bank regions to provide client servicing, ongoing product training, and sales support.
• Participates in all aspects of new strategy development.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor' s Degree in finance or related business field.
• MBA, CFA, CAIA preferred.
• Five or more years experience in product management, alternative investments, or the derivative industry.
• Excellent presentation and written communications skills required.
• Advanced working know ledge of investment products & services.
• Ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally
• Strong PC skills.
