Summary This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC LEADER, position description D1410000, within the 108TH MAI SQ of the New Jersey Air National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The primary purpose of this position is to lead three or more journeyman Aircraft Mechanics, WG-8852-10, crew chiefs, and specialist personnel. In addition, inspect, repair, modify, and service aircraft systems, components, and assemblies, both on- and off-aircraft. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Areas of Consideration: CAT 4: Individuals eligible for membership in the New Jersey National Guard Military Grades: SSGT/E-5 to TSGT/ E-6 Compatible Military Assignments: 2A5X4A Selectee has one (1) year to obtain required AFSC Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Specialized Experience: ( Must have at least 36 months of the following Specialized Experience(s)) In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series. Must have the ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment. The ability to provide guidance to others in work related directly to this occupational series.
