Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the 92 Force Support Squadron, Fairchild Inn, Fairchild AFB, WA. The purpose of this position is to receive, store, and issue a variety of bin and bulk supplies, materials and equipment. This is a Regular Part time position; guaranteed 20-34 hours per week; depending on the needs of the facility. This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in and knowledge ofa wide variety of warehouse plans, methods, procedures, and techniques of material handling. Must be able to use mechanized equipment for storage and retrieval. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Physical Effort: Lifting and carrying supplies, materials, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Heavier items arc moved with equipment or the assistance of other workers. Required to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. Bends, stoops, and works in tiring or uncomfortable positions. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
