**Clinical Physician Executive - Psychiatry opening in Winston-Salem, NC**
Hospital system is
seeking an exceptional physician leader to serve in the Greater Winston-Salem Market in North
Carolina (GWSM) to serve as Clinical Physician Executive (CPE). This is a new and exciting role
that will provide leadership, policy direction, strategic growth, operational excellence, and
clinical advancement of psychiatric services across our network of hospitals and ambulatory sites
within the Greater Winston-Salem Market in matrixed partnership with the Market Nursing Director and
Market Director of Operations.
The CPE is accountable for planning, directing, and coordinating all
psychiatric initiatives in order to achieve high quality patient services, operational excellence,
and cost effectiveness within the Market in partnership with Market Operations and Nursing
leadership. This role is accountable for establishing strong professional relations with
administration, physicians, and nursing across the Market. The CPE provides administrative oversight
and leadership in a manner that supports our mission and vision. The CPE will provide direct
clinical oversight to all areas associated with psychiatric services throughout the GWSM Market and
assists in the management and coordination of other departments within the market to ensure a
well-coordinated and planned integrated operation of health care delivery services for the
Psychiatry Institute.
The CPE role will start out as a 0.5 clinical FTE position with 0.5 FTE
allocated for administrative responsibilities. FTE allocation will be reviewed as the Institute
matures. Clinical work will be consistent with the selected candidates area of expertise and
training. This role will report directly to the System Physician Executive for the Institute and
will be an integral part of the market leadership team.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an
accredited medical school MD, DO, MBBS; board certification in Psychiatry required with additional
sub-specialty board certification a plus.
- 5 + years of clinical experience; 3 + years of
demonstrated leadership experience.
- Background facilitating the development and refinement of
psychiatric practices, serving as the primary physician leader to ensure cost effective, high
quality, comprehensive care.
- Experience implementing quality and care management initiatives,
clinical best practices, and process improvement initiatives to achieve the highest level of care.
Strong understanding of APA guidelines and the needs of other accrediting organizations.
- Strong
leadership skills with the ability to advance and develop a superior clinical service.
- Excellent
interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical
audiences, in group settings or one-on-one.
- MBA, MMM, MHA, MPH, or equivalent management education
desired by not required.
