Summary This position is located at: Outdoor Recreation - Fort Irwin. Outdoor Recreation (ODR) offers a variety of services for our Fort Irwin Soldiers and Families, including: Equipment Rentals, RV and Mini Storage Rental Spaces, RV Camp Site, 6 hole Pitch N' Putt golf course, Skeet and Trap range, Disc Golf and so much more. Incentives and Bonuses Retention incentives will be paid for this position. Duties In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilitates and machinery. Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc. Plans, conducts, publicize and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. Leads the work of other employees. Passes on to other workers instructions received from the supervisor and starts work. Distributes and balances work- load assuring that each employee has enough work to keep busy. Answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, and directives. Provides leadership, guidance and oversight in program operations. Provides on-the job training to new employees. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors. Shifts may include working, morning, nights, weekends, holidays and special events. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less).
