RN Ortho Trauma PCU

Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, part of Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Ortho Trauma Progressive Care Unit (5 South). Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Schedule: Full Time - Days - 36 hours per week

Unit Summary

This is a 35-bed monitored nursing unit that provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging from adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service include the following but are not limited to:

• Traumatic Complex Fractures
• Elective Joint Replacements – Rapid Recovery Program
• Sports Injuries
• Spinal Deformities
• Hip Fractures
• Compression Fractures
• Pelvic Fractures
• Skeletal Malformations and Abnormalities
• Amputations and Prosthesis
• Medical Surgical patients including those requiring Telemetry
• Elective Plastic surgery
• Tracheotomy Care and (Maintenance and support)-a Registered Nurse on this floor will develop top notch skills with Trach care compared to anywhere else in the hospital.
