For GS 12: You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: Experience in project management. Preparing and reviewing National Environmental Policy Act documentation. Physical Demands: The job involves prolonged hours of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office environment. Standing and hiking in adverse climate may be required for fieldwork. Work Environment: The work environment varies from an office setting where the incumbent is in contact with work associates to a field setting where the incumbent is working alone or in a group, in remote and adverse situations.
