This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD
About the Position: This is a TERM position NTE 13 months and maybe made permanent. Position is subject to a six-month rotational deployment to Southwest Asia.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
As a pre-condition of employment, Incumbent must meet requirements specified on SF78, Certificate of Medical Examination, and receive immunizations appropriate for overseas location.
Physical examinations are also required annually to ensure employee meets physical requirements of an EE position.
This position is designated as emergency-essential (E-E). During a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, may be required to deploy or to perform temporary duty assignments overseas in support of military operations.
E-E employees must be exempted from military mobilization or recall obligations by being placed in the Standby Reserve or other appropriate action. (See Dodd 1200.7, Dodd 1404.10, Dodd 1400.31, Dodd 1400.32; and AR 690-11.)
In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
The duties of this position require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel of up to 75% of the time.
This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position (Foundational). Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
This position requires a mobility agreement which requires written consent to comply with management directed movement and/or deployment to support overseas contingency operations in order to meet mission requirements.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support programs for new and future weapon systems; AND 2) Adjusting corrective action plans, as necessary, to ensure customer expectations are met; AND 3) Coordinating with stakeholders in the development of agreements such as Statements of Work and/or Memorandums of Agreement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Additional information
Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
