Administrative Support Assistant (CYS) (Developmental) NF-02/03

Summary Positions are located on the Island of Oahu. Work schedule may vary based on local school schedules and school intersessions. Regular Full-time position has a minimum of 40 hours/week and Regular Part-time position has a minimum of 20 hours/week. Both eligible for benefits/leave accrual. This NF-03 is entitled to 8.9% COLA (Island of Oahu). COLA is subject to change without notice. COLA NF-02 positions will not be entitled to COLA. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position. Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.m., and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required. Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations. A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable). Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required. May be subject to an irregular hours, evening and or weekends. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check. Travel to on and off post locations may be required. Qualifications NF-02 Qualifications: Experience working in an office setting which demonstrates skill in applying administrative and clerical procedures; customer service concepts; and communication techniques in a professional environment. Experience using office automation to prepare documents, manage files, and maintain records. Must have experience in using applications such as Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook). NF-03 Qualifications: Experience working in a professional office setting which required administrative and clerical skill in managing filing systems and maintaining documents, such as attendance records and official correspondence. Must possess experience demonstrating customer service and business communication skills. Must possess a demonstrated knowledge of correct grammar and composition techniques needed to accurately prepare written material from a variety of sources. Must possess demonstrated proficiency in using computers for various applications to include Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Windows, Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook). Experience entering and maintaining information into automated databases. At least 1 year experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NF-02. Those meeting both Highly Preferred criteria along with the minimum qualifications will be referred before those meeting only the minimum criteria. Highly Preferred candidates will possess all of the following: Experience utilizing automated systems for childcare operations. This experience must be clearly listed on your resume to be considered for Highly Preferred status. Additional certificates will be sent at managements request. Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials This is a NF pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives and bonuses will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances This position is entitled to 8.9% COLA (Island of Oahu). COLA is subject to change without notice.
