Nurse Practitioner- Hospitalist

The Department of Hospitalist Service at Holyoke Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our established team.

Position Highlights:

• Join a dynamic network of experienced physicians, specialists, and support staff who foster a culture of collaboration and mentorship backed by comprehensive support services.
• Perform a variety of duties such as history and physicals as well as providing care to assigned patients.  Assesses, diagnoses, document findings, and write medical orders. Makes clinical decisions relative to patient management through collaboration with physicians.
• Ensure that consultation by sub-specialists to the Hospitalist Service are requested in a timely manner to optimize patient care and ensure that referrals to sub-specialists are consistent with outpatient attending M.D. preference if patient was referred by outpatient attending physician.
• Shift: 7p-7a (7on/7off schedule) *Physician backup onsite
• No ICU Coverage or procedures required.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner Program to treat all ages, i.e. FNP
• Experience: New Graduates encouraged to apply, 1-Year of Hospitalist experience (preferred)
• License/Registration: (Current or Eligible to apply for) Massachusetts Medical Licensure, DEA License, CDS License, and ACLS certification.
• Certification: FNP
