The Big Island Multi-Specialty Practice is seeking Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner

There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to join Multi-specialty physician practice in Kailua Kona, Big Island Hawaii.  They have an opening for an NP to join Gastroenterology team of one physician and one physician assistant. The group is looking for a nurse practitioner with previous gastroenterology experience as NP or RN. This is 100% outpatient M-F, 8am-4:30pm, no weekends, no call position. The typical daily caseload ranges from 16 to 18 patients.   The ideal candidate will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, and caring for patients ranging in age. This position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients and co-workers.    Responsibilities: Provides pre-op and post-op patient education. Coordinates diagnostic studies, consultations, procedures, and communications. Manages post-op care of patients including daily rounds, discharge, patient/family education, and follow-up clinic visits.
