Summary This job opportunity is for an FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR, position description D1143000, within the 177th LRS of the New Jersey Air National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to manage fuel on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) which consists of operations and maintenance of a fuel distribution system. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) Qualifications General Experience: Experience or training which demonstrates ability to: Organize assignments for subordinates Estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs Explain manuals and work procedures Prepare production records, work records and reports Specialized Experience: Experience or training working in activities such as large fuel depots or fuel farms with complex, interconnecting line and pipe arrangements, and frequent requirements for large scale movement and transfer of a variety of liquid fuels.
