You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ensuring the needs of military families are met and/or being address by the PPV process; Interprets laws, policies, contractual documents, and various other sources that apply to or affect the housing program; Developing recommendations for proposed legislation as required to determine impact on DoD and Navy housing programs; Develops housing PPV policy recommendations and/or directives; Developing recommendations to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer service. This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. Several vacancies may be filled. Physical Demand Employee does sedentary work, such as sitting comfortably. There may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, or driving an automobile. No special physical effort or ability is required to perform the work. Work Environment The employee works in an adequately lighted and ventilated office environment. There may be exposure to unfavorable conditions during occassional visits to Housing sites. May require occasional travel.
