Qualifications In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume. GS-06: Specialized Experience: One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent in responsibility and scope to the GS-05 level; or its non-Federal equivalent that includes experience performing receptionist duties such as greeting visitors and answering telephone calls; and providing administrative and clerical support for an office with such duties as managing correspondence and maintaining electronic records and databases. This position requires a qualified typist who can type at least 40 words per minute. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 12/30/2024. Education This position does not allow substituting education for experience. Additional information You may be required to serve an initial probationary period. Current, permanent Federal employees who are selected from this announcement may be required to serve a probationary period.
