Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBER Lodging. Regular Part-Time employees have regular/continuous work schedules of at least 20-34 hours per week. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. Must complete a physical in Alaska prior to being sent an Official Job Offer. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Qualifying Experience: No previous experience or training is required. Must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions and be able to use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment. Must be physically able to frequently lift and empty wastebaskets; frequently pushing carts, weighing more than 100 pounds, loaded with dirty laundry or wastepaper; and occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to continuously stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
