Qualifications ASSESSMENT FACTORS 1. Determines and prioritizes critical intelligence gaps to unique or complex analytic problems and coordinates with collection managers to tailor collection requirements that encourage effective client decision-making. 2. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to complex questions in a clear, concise, and organized manner. 3. Establishes effective working relationships to successfully complete work. 4. Demonstrates advanced proficiency and knowledge in assigned scientific or technology area; remains abreast of advanced developments and incorporates knowledge into analytic products. 5. Cultivates relationships with community stakeholders to validate usefulness of proposed products and services. HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS 1. Demonstrated expertise within field of emerging and advanced technology with applications to biological weapons program. 2. Demonstrated ability to help shape new missions, teams, or functions. 3. Experience working with and leading technical experts within the counter-WMD community. Basic Requirements 1. Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR 2. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Additional information DIA positions are Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) positions in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. All applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. Applicants must meet the agency’s conditions of employment, to include, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of an initial special background investigation and periodic reinvestigation, completion of any required medical examination and physical requirements, completion of any required personal interviews, favorable completion of any required initial or aperiodic polygraph examinations, completion of any required drug test, satisfactory completion of a two-year Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System trial period, and completion of a civilian mobility agreement.
