Summary This position is assigned to Commander Navy Installation Command (CNIC), Fleet and Family Readiness Department (N9), Family Readiness Division (N91), Work and Family Life Branch (N911). Incumbent serves as the Work and Family Life Coordinator. The position also plans, manages, coordinates, implements, and evaluates training, education, and outreach for Work & Family Life (WFL) Programs for Naval Base Coronado. This position requires incumbents to obtain and maintain an official passport. Must be willing to relocate to reside within the local commuting area (50-mile radius) of Naval Base Coronado. Qualifications Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. A qualified candidate possesses the following: Must have 2 years specialized experience in planning, managing, coordinating, and implementing outreach for personal and family life readiness or quality of life Programs OR Masters or equivalent graduate degree/ 2 full years of progressively higher-level education leading to such a degree/ LL. B or J.D., if related. Comprehensive knowledge of the Navy organization, mission, lifestyle, language, customs, and culture and skill in applying analytical methods and techniques to evaluate the customer base and identify WFL needs, trends and performance measures and to evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations for process improvements. In-depth knowledge of Family Readiness and its mission and programs and practical knowledge of education and training delivery methods, practices, processes, and techniques to collaborate with staff on implementing QOL and WFL trainings and workshops. Practical knowledge of and skill in applying professional verbal and written communication methods and techniques to network and collaborate with diverse groups, organizations, military services, and civilian agencies; deliver WFL evidence-based training/education to various audiences; compose clear, concise, and effective reports and documents; and establish and maintain professional relationships with management, staff, and personnel at multiple echelons. Skill in conducting client interviews to establish the nature and extent of concerns and issues, to assist with the development of client goals and plans, and to determine appropriate referral services and options to meet client needs. Skill in using various computer software databases, spreadsheet, and word processing programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to maintain automated files, references, and instructions; distribute information and develop marketing materials. Education This position does not have a positive education requirement. Additional information This position is located at Naval Base Coronado. If selected, relocation to the local commuting area (50 miles) is required. Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements.
