Physician Assistant- Advanced Neurosurgery Associates

Advanced Neurosurgery Associates (ANA) is actively seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our world class Neurosurgical Team. ANA provides unparalleled expertise in the field of adult and pediatric neurosurgery. Our Physician Assistants participate in all aspects of the clinical management of neurological patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescribing of medication, patient education, inpatient & outpatient consultations, and cutting-edge clinical research. Our practice is located in Northern New Jersey but in close proximity to Central and Southern New Jersey and New York City. 

Qualifications:

• Physician Assistant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Master’s Degree for an accredited PA program.
• Licensure in the State of New Jersey
• PA Board Certification
• CDS, DEA, BLS and ACLS certifications
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Position Summary:

• Collaborate with our Neurosurgeons who provide mentoring and training daily.
• Work as a First Assist in a variety of surgical procedures at Regional Hospitals and Ambulatory Surgical Centers.
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative care, including rounding on surgical and referred patients.
• Perform patient evaluations and collaborate with our attending Neurosurgeons on patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Provide quality patient care and education to patients in our offices in Rutherford, Morristown, Jersey City and New Brunswick, New Jersey.
• Some on-call and weekend responsibilities on a rotating basis shared amongst 4 Physician Assistants.
