Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business & Technical Management Career Path (AcqDemo only) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources Specialist performing generalist duties in support of USAASC Headquarters (HQ) and the Program Executive Offices (PEOs). Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation including a credit check to determine suitability for Federal employment and/or the position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Business travel may be required up to 5% of the time. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Providing integrated federal civilian human resources advisory services to managers/supervisors on recruitment and placement principles, polices, laws, regulations, and practices; 2) Analyzing federal civilian human resources data to develop solutions to reduce time to hire and address organizational recruitment challenges; 3) Leading federal civilian human resources projects or initiatives; AND 4) Providing technical advice and quality control review to federal civilian human resources team members. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level NH-02 (GS-11) position in the federal service. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Employee HR Management - Basic Personnel and Human Resources Staffing and Recruitment Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
