Bowling Equipment Worker NA-05

Summary This position is located at Fort Lee MWR, Business Recreation Division: TenStrike Bowling Center. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. This is an open continuous announcement. Lists with qualified candidates will be referred when requested by hiring managers. Duties Performs routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical bowling equipment, components and assemblies. Adjusts equipment in accordance with guidance provided by and identifies potential malfunctions to the Bowling Equipment Repairer. Assists the Bowling Equipment Repairer in making repairs, adjusting equipment and related duties. Assists with stocking, inventory, and related duties in the bowling facility. Cleans and maintains the bowling facility by replacing light bulbs; making minor repairs to vacuum cleaners, buffers, etc.; scrubbing, washing and polishing floors, walls and other surfaces. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position. Must be able to work during the hours of operation to include nights and weekends. The dual compensation guidelines DO NOT apply to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Be able to lift and carry large items weighing up to 100 pounds. Possess work experience or training in the use of electrical test equipment and wiring diagrams. Be physically able to work for extended periods of time in cramped and awkward positions. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
