Summary The National Indian Gaming Commission's primary mission is to work within the framework created by the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) for the regulation of gaming activities conducted by tribes on Indian lands to fully realize IGRA's goals: (1) promoting tribal economic development, self-sufficiency and strong tribal governments; (2) maintaining the integrity of the Indian gaming industry; and (3) ensuring that tribes are the primary beneficiaries of their gaming activities. Education: A Bachelor's degree (or higher level degree) in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, or other related fields from an accredited college or university. GG-12 Experience: In addition to meeting the education requirements, to qualify for the GG-12 level, you must have at least 3 years of experience conducting background investigations, analyzing financial or economic data, or conducting other types of investigations. Proficiency with Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required. Experience working in Indian Country, or with Indian Gaming is preferred, but not required. GG-13 Experience In addition to meeting the education requirements, to qualify for the GG-13 level, you must have at least 5 years of experience conducting background investigations, analyzing financial or economic data, background searches or conducting other types of investigations. Proficiency with Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required. Experience working in Indian Country, or with Indian Gaming is preferred, but not required.
