Summary About the position: This position is located at the Auto Hobby Facility on RAF Lakenheath, UK. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week with no minimum guaranteed per week. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Must be able to satisfactory complete a pre-employment physical. Must have a valid US Driver’s License and 3rd AF license. This is a drug testing position. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have a working knowledge of the operations, installation of component assemblies and systems of vehicles. Must be familiar with engine analyzers, front end alignment machine, hand tools, automotive test equipment and brake turning equipment. Must be able to read and interpret repair manuals. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
