Recreation Assistant (Lead Lifeguard), NF-02

Summary Serves as a Recreation Assistant (Lead Lifeguard) in the Aquatic Department of the Hale Koa Hotel. This position will remain open until filled with a first cutoff date of 6/12/2025 for employment consideration. Additional lists will be pulled after this first cut-off date at the request of the hiring manager. Local candidates will be reviewed first as PCS is not authorized. If determined that area of consideration is to be expanded, all candidates will be considered. Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required upon appointment Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position Satisfactory completion of employment verification (E-Verify) check One year probationary period may be required A physical examination may be required Must be able to obtain a Tier 1 background investigation. Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays and various hours of the day and week when required. Continuous exposure to sun and prolonged periods of high temperature and humidity. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2. Must have current health assessment which documents good physical health, freedom from communicable disease IAW current Army. Lifeguard must have good vision (based upon an acceptable standard of 20/40 vision or better, either corrected (with glasses or contacts) or uncorrected). In case of exposure to infectious disease, incumbent is required to obtain the Hepatitis B vaccination series within a 24-hour period. Qualifications Must possess the following certificates: 1. American Red Cross "Lifeguard" certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification). 2. American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer" (CPR-Pro) certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates (CPR) Certification).When facilities use Automated External Defibrillator "AED's" and Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the following is required: 3. American Red Cross "Automated External Defibrillator" (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates AED certification. 4. American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration" certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates Oxygen Administration certification. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
