DescriptionSummary: Provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff and ensures patient safety and well-being. Located just minutes from the shores of Padre Island, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-South provides surgical and medical services for our patients in south Corpus Christi. Perfectly positioned to serve the rapidly-growing south side of Corpus Christi, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - South is licensed for 158 beds. South offers a full range of medical and surgical services including pediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, intensive care as well as advanced diagnostic and imaging. The hospital is also home to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which enables recovering mothers to remain close to their premature or special needs babies. Responsibilities: Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Answering patient calls and helping patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Feeding patients, measuring, and recording their food and liquid intake. Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors. Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds. Job Requirements: Education/Skills High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience 1 year of experience required. 3 – 5 years of experience preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications BLS required. National PCT Certification (includes Phlebotomy and EKG) preferred.
