Summary This position is located with the NAF Financial Management Office on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. This position is eligible for 1.49% COLA (subject to change without notice). Incentives and Bonuses Recruitment, relocation, and/or retention incentive up to $10,000 may be authorized Duties Provides technical financial, budget and/or accounting support by accumulating, processing, compilation and consolidation of financial data in support of IMWRF analysts. Assists with the conduct of review and analysis of operating programs, ensuring conformance with policy and resource utilization. Identifies problems with document flow, e.g. daily activity reports, petty cash, transfer between accounts, etc. Assists Information Management Specialists with defining and correcting problems or identifying needs of user representatives who work with various NAF Information Management Systems. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation and a Credit Check. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have semi-independent work experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Ability to organize and communicate through written correspondence and oral communication. Working knowledge of principles, practices and methods of budget formulation. Ability to type and operate a personal computer. Knowledge of operation and functions of personal computers to provide problem solving resolution and service to users In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following will be considered Highly Preferred. Knowledge of Nonappropriated Fund practices, regulations, and guidance materials and NAF Small Purchases. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
