Summary This position will be assigned to the Air Force Service Center in Port San Antonio, TX. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs per week. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: A full 4-year college degree in accounting or a minimum of 24 semester hours in accounting and 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have direct double entry accounting experience and/or direct accounting experience in a lead or general ledger capacity. Must be versed in accounting procedures, and/or public accounting. Must have extensive accounting and financial analysis and experience. Must have experience using application software and utility programs to develop efficient database update and retrieval procedures. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Must have experience with standard business software systems such as Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to analyze and provide financial status of all funds. Skills in creating analytical data required for presentation to leadership.
