**Neonatology Opening in Mishawaka, IN** South Bend 5m, Chicago, IL 105m * Full-time * Hospital Employed * Schedule - 7 on/7 off, 24-hour shifts. * Physician is generally available on site during normal daytime hours, and available from home the remainder of the shift. * Join one other Neonatologist and a crew of NNPs. * PRN Neonatologists are available when needed. * We have a 24/7 Ob/Gyn Laborist program in place; one Maternal Fetal Medicine physician on staff; and one Pediatric Hospitalist on during the day. * The average census is ten; up from three a year ago. * Average births per year are 2,000, and continued growth is expected. * We have a Level III NICU with 12 private beds. * The unit is pro-breast feeding, baby friendly. * Our philosophy is a hands-off approach, intervention only when necessary. * Opportunities for teaching exist with our FM residents and other staff. Familiarity with oscillator, nitric oxide, intubation, chest tube placements, lumbar puncture, ventilation management, invasive (ETT), non-invasive (BiPap/CPAP), exchange transfusions, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is preferred.
