Job Description

Summary Reports to the OSG Flight Procedures Office Team Manager. The incumbent is expected to perform work independently resolving potentially controversial or sensitive issues. Results of work performed are considered technically authoritative and conclusions and recommendations are accepted. Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents). Security Requirement: Non-Sensitive (1). This position requires completion and favorable adjudication of a background investigation prior to appointment. Qualifications To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history. Specialized experience includes: experience as a technical specialist for one or more of the following program areas: Development, maintenance and revision of terminal/en-route Instrument Flight Procedures (IFPs); Ensuring IFPs are coordinated and integrated into the NAS and provide for safe operation of aircraft. Collecting, evaluating and verifying aeronautical data. Experience providing subject matter guidance on automation applications as used by Aeronautical Information Services Experience in development of Instrument Flight Procedures (IFP), working with Instrument Procedures Development Systems (IPDS), Instrument Approach Procedures Automation (IAPA) and Terminal Area Route Generations and Traffic Simulations (TARGETS) Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
