Summary This position is located at FMWR Custodial Services. **This Announcement has an initial cutoff date of Tuesday December 2nd, 2025 at 11:59 PM (PST). Duties Performs daily routine housekeeping duties in a child development center, school age care facility, or youth center. Preparing and delivering sanitizing bleach solution for use in classrooms, sanitizing toys that have been handled by children, replenishing classroom supplies such as hand soap and paper towels when required, delivering program supplies. Emptying diaper pails and/or trash, returning food carts to the kitchen after meals and snacks, and cleaning up after classroom accidents (child illness and toileting, water on floor, etc) which may pose a threat to child safety. May be required to clean floors and tables after meals and snacks. Provides routine light cleaning/dusting of classrooms/activity areas and materials as required. May be required to sweep/mop using standard equipment such as brooms and vacuum cleaners. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination. All required background checks of AR 215-3, para.2 and the Crime Control Act must be successfully completed and maintained, including Child and Youth Tier 1 background investigation. A current health assessment is required. Immunizations are required including annual flu vaccination. Position may include some evening/weekend hours. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have the ability to perform the duties described above without more than normal supervision. Must be able to dilute and use various cleaning and sanitizing solutions to disinfect items and/or remove different types of stains on varying surfaces. Candidates will be evaluated on the following elements as they relate to the duties above: - Ability to keep things neat, clean, and in order - Ability to follow instructions- must be able to speak and understand English. - Ability to use and maintain required tools and equipment (vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops). Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
