Transplant Nephrology opening in MA Located in Burlington, MA Full-Time & Permanent Seeking a BE/BC Transplant Nephrologist to join practice. - There are over 450 combined patients on our kidney transplant waiting list and in the evaluation process. - Approximately 50-66 kidney transplants are performed every year, of which approximately 25 are living donor kidney transplants, including enrollment through the National Kidney Registry program (NKR). - We have excellent outcomes for our donors and recipients. - The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of 2 transplant nephrologists, 5 transplant surgeons, 2 surgical fellows, 5 hepatologists and one hepatology fellow. - Call is shared between our faculty of 11 nephrologists and transplant nephrologists. Responsibilities: - Pre-transplant clinic evaluations - Kidney transplant wait list appointments - Donor evaluations - Inpatient coverage - Post-transplant nephrology clinic - Determining suitability of organs from medically complex deceased donors. - Managing renal replacement therapy (CRRT, HD and PD) on the inpatient kidney and liver transplant service.
