**General Surgery Opening in Illinois** - Located in Sterling, IL - 115 miles from Chicago - Part-time opening (potentially open to full-time) Medical Center is a 99 bed community based hospital in Sterling, IL with an employed physician model. We currently employ 68 physicians in 35 areas of medicine. In addition to our hospital and main clinic, medical center offers 12 additional satellite facilities in the surrounding service areas. Currently seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon who prefers to practice in an environment that will offer a comfortable work-life balance in a community of about 26,000 residents. Schedule can be either be full time or part time depending upon the candidates needs. The ideal candidate will have a broad-based traditional general surgery background. Our procedures include all abdominal, all breast, some endocrine, and minimal trauma. Our cases can be broadly described as bread and butter. Laparoscopic skills required. Thoracic surgical skills preferred. Minimally Invasive Fellowship trained is also preferred. Call is (1:3), and you will be joining a practice with 2 other surgeons with RN and MA support. Center has ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsies, as well as breast MR on-site.
